Set the Lord Before You Always

I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
(Psalm 16:8)

The Lord is mighty and is zealous for His people. He is for His people and will not allow any evil to befall them.

There was a young man called Immanuel who lived a sinful life. He was so lost in sin that the enemy used him to draw people into sin. Once the enemy was teaching him as to how to torment the godly people. The head of devils came to him and said, “You must do whatever you can do to stop God’s people going to heaven. Tempt them and ensnare them into sin.”

The young man did everything he could do but failed in his efforts. Later the Lord transformed him and he shared his testimony in a book saying, “I tried to lure a godly man into sin but could not. I could not even get near him because there was an angel before him and beside him. I got terrified and fled from him. If only the people of God know how much the Lord loves and protects them, they will love Him and revere Him very much.” Yes friend, King David says, “I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved” (Psalm 16:8).

King David set the Lord before him and beside him and nothing could harm him. When we too set the Lord before us and beside us, then no devil or man can harm us. We may pass through problems that may seem difficult to cross like a river but the Lord will be with us and they shall not overflow us.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you” (Isaiah 43:2).

The Lord promises to be with us and deliver us from the problems and protect us. So let us not be worried about the problems but walk with Him.

Dear beloved, do problems crush you? Do evil forces torment you? Like David set the Lord before you. The Bible says, “The Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8). So, hold onto Him. The Lord will crush the evil forces and nothing shall harm you. You shall be a blessed person on earth .
